Rachel Sagiroglu, CMP

Rachel has over 25 years of experience planning meetings, travel and events and designing experiential marketing campaigns, and has an innate love for Maine, its culture and its natural beauty. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), which represents the standard of excellence in today’s meetings, conventions and exhibitions industry. In 2015, Rachel was asked to join the Customer Advisory Board for Maritz Global Events, one of the largest, most respected leaders in the meetings and events industry, worldwide. She has been an active member of Meeting Planners International (MPI), New England Chapter for the past 10 years.

Rachel’s professional background includes seven years overseeing marketing and events for a $3.5B environmental, energy, and industrial services company, where she planned and executed over 50 corporate meetings, trade shows, experiential marketing campaigns and customer events annually. Prior to this, she worked in various marketing and event planning roles, including Marketing Manager at WEX in Portland; Director of Sales & Marketing at 33 Management Group in Boston; Promotions Manager at Time Warner in Portland; and Marketing & Events Coordinator for Vreeland Marketing & Design in Yarmouth

Rachel has lived in and Experienced Maine for most of her life, she grew up on Great Pond in the picturesque Belgrade Lakes region, where she mastered boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking and hanging out with friends. She lived for 10 years in Portland’s Old Port, where she discovered her love for food and wine, live music and the working waterfront. Rachel has an intrinsic love for the ocean. To this day you can find her walking along low tide at one of Maine’s many beaches, collecting shells, broken sand dollars and sea glass for her collection. She’s even enlisted her five-year-old daughter to start her own treasure chest of tidal pool discoveries. Rachel most recently lived in Boston for the last 10 years, but moved her family home in 2018…back to the way life should be…to launch Experience Maine!

Jordan Nugent

Jordan is a passionate travel and event planner who specializes in creating custom Maine vacations for her clients, capturing the magic of the state she now calls home. Originally from Florida, she grew up traveling the world and learning the value of unique experiences and the excitement of exploring new places. Jordan has perfected her craft through both personal exposure and professional advancement. She has over ten years of experience working for prestigious companies across the country including The Yellowstone Club and OPAL Resorts.

Always drawn to the coast, Jordan spent her first few summers living in Bar Harbor, exploring Acadia National Park and Mount Dessert Island. Since moving to Portland, she has become highly regarded in the culinary and hospitality industry, where she excels at building relationships with clients and the community. Jordan’s passion for Maine’s local character and its unrivaled beauty has led her to explore all corners of the state. She spends her free time hiking, walking on the beach with her dog, trying new local eateries and discovering hidden gems. She is committed to crafting unforgettable adventures, tailored to her client’s preferences and promoting Maine as a destination hotspot.

Maddy Jarvis
Director, Marketing & Travel
Travel Planning, Marketing & Social Media Manager

Maddy is a skilled marketing and social media guru who loves to travel and explore Maine. She grew up experiencing Maine in all areas of the state and even represented Maine as an ambassador years ago as Miss Maine’s Outstanding Teen. Maddy has an immense love for Maine’s beaches and the growing food and beverage scene. After years in the South, she was called back to the state and is happy to call Maine home again.

Maddy’s professional background includes years of marketing and event planning roles, including the Marketing Coordinator of the Biddeford and Saco Chamber of Commerce, a Facilitator at Dale Carnegie Maine, and the Customer Development Manager of a private country club in Maine. Additionally, Maddy dedicates time to philanthropic work within Maine with her personal charity, The CAREacter Network, and other Maine non-profits and fundraising events. When not in the office, you can find Maddy cruising Maine’s waters by boat, walking the beach, or discovering the hottest new restaurants and cocktail bars.

Maddy is an expert on Southern Maine, Portland, and the surrounding area. She is passionate about creating unique experiences that highlight Maine’s beauty, local flare and business community. She is dedicated to promoting and planning experiences that further Maine as a destination hotspot and grow Maine’s small business economy. 

Arianna Stefanilo
Executive Chef
Culinary Creator, Private Chef, Catering

Maine chef Arianna Stefanilo has been a regular on the Portland restaurant scene for the last eight years. She was an executive chef at The Maker’s Galley, Blyth & Burrows and Novare Res Bier Café, and has formal training and experience as a pastry chef. Raised in a large Italian-Irish family, Stefanilo learned to bake pastries with her Irish grandmother and was inspired to cook by her Sicilian father.

Stefanilo grew up on Chebeague Island and spent many years lobstering and fishing off the Maine coast. Her love of the sea has left a lasting impact on her culinary point of view. Arianna’s passion is to work with local Maine fisherman, farmers, and purveyors to create simple yet flavorful dishes.
