Staying Put in Portland. Since July, I’ve dined out a fair amount when restaurants were starting to get back into the swing of things. What occurred to me is that I haven’t gone too far away. This time around we stopped in for lunch and cocktails at two of the prettiest places to stay in the area, Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor and Newagen Seaside Inn in Southport.
The meals were delicious. A coastal fare with locally grown vegetables and fresh seafood. I loved the plate of mussels I ordered at Linekin Bay Resort and fried clams served on the outside patio of the Newagen Inn.
But both oceanfront hotels offer more than delicious food and a place to “relax and unwind.”
